為培育青年學子面對未來產業與職場所需的跨域整合、創新思考與問題解決能力,「永續智慧創新黑客松競賽」自2020年創辦以來,即以「企業命題、學生解題」為核心模式,將企業真實面臨的產業痛點與永續議題帶入校園,串聯企業、大學與青年學子共同探索解決方案。
競賽不僅著重創意發想,更透過跨域組隊、系統化培力、方案迭代與原型驗證,引導學生從理解產業現況、企業痛點與使用者需求出發,整合跨領域知識與智慧科技,將創意逐步轉化為兼具創新性、可行性與發展潛力的解決方案,持續建構「永續世代的韌性智慧創新協作平台」。
「永續智慧創新黑客松競賽」以聯合國17項永續發展目標(Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs)為重要引導,並以「永續、智慧、創新、韌性」為四大發展主軸,鼓勵學生運用智慧科技、設計思考與跨領域專業,回應企業與社會所面臨的真實挑戰。

競賽強調將永續從理念倡議轉化為具體的創新實踐,從產品、服務、流程到商業模式,鼓勵青年以創新思維提出可落地、可驗證且具發展潛力的解決方案,讓青年創意成為推動產業與社會永續轉型的重要力量。
2026|Go Further, Go Global
走向國際產學共創鏈結

2026年競賽以「Go Further, Go Global」為核心目標,進一步將跨校、跨域與產學合作推向國際,串聯中台灣大學系統6校、臺灣夥伴學校5校,以及日本信州大學、新潟大學、義大利 University of Turin、University of Modena and Reggio Emilia等國際夥伴,共計15所大學,匯聚不同學校的特色專業與國際創新能量。
透過國際化的命題、團隊合作與交流機制,讓青年學子不僅面對在地產業與社會議題,更能從全球視野理解永續發展與產業轉型所面臨的共同挑戰,在跨文化、跨領域的協作中拓展創新思維與實務解題能力。
2020–2025年|累積105個企業命題、1,700組學生團隊提案
競賽於2020年由逢甲大學、中國醫藥大學及亞洲大學共同發起,隨著合作網絡與參與規模持續擴展,企業命題與學生參與均逐年成長。2020至2025年六屆競賽,累積105個企業命題、1,700組學生團隊提案,議題也從早期的智慧生活與數位轉型,逐步拓展至智慧醫療、未來醫院、偏鄉教育、高齡照護、淨零轉型、循環經濟、低碳交通、智慧回收、綠色建築及文化創意等多元領域。

競賽持續深化學校、企業與學生三方「共學、共創、共成長」的協作關係,逐步發展成為串聯創新教學、永續教育、人才培育與產業實務的重要平台,並拓展在地與國際合作的影響力。
對學校而言,企業真實命題能轉化為創新教學與人才培育的實踐場域,促進跨校交流與產業鏈結,讓教學與產業需求更緊密接軌。
對學生而言,透過跨校、跨領域團隊合作與企業實務挑戰,培養問題定義、團隊協作、創意思考、方案驗證與溝通提案等核心能力,累積面對真實問題的實戰經驗,提升未來職場所需的創新力與就業力。
對企業而言,競賽提供企業連結青年創意與跨域人才的創新場域,導入校園、外部及國際創新能量,從不同視角重新理解產業問題,為企業永續轉型與未來發展創造新的可能。
Sustainable × Smart × Innovative × Resilient|Responding to Real-World Industry and Social Challenges
To equip young generation with the cross-disciplinary integration, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills required for future industries and the workplace, the Sustainability Hackathon was launched in 2020 with the core model of “Industry Challenges, Student Solutions.” By bringing real-world industrial pain points and sustainability challenges into the university setting, the competition connects businesses, universities, and young students to explore innovative solutions together.
The competition goes beyond idea generation. Through cross-disciplinary team formation, systematic capacity building, solution iteration, and prototype validation, students are guided to begin by understanding industry trends, business challenges, and user needs. They then integrate knowledge from different disciplines with smart technologies to gradually transform ideas into solutions that demonstrate innovation, feasibility, and development potential. Through this process, the Hackathon continues to build a resilient smart innovation collaboration platform for the sustainable generation.
Guided by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Sustainability Hackathon is built around four core pillars: Sustainability, Smart Technology, Innovation, and Resilience. Students are encouraged to apply smart technologies, design thinking, and interdisciplinary expertise to address real-world challenges faced by businesses and society.
The Hackathon emphasizes transforming sustainability from a conceptual aspiration into concrete innovative practice. From products and services to processes and business models, students are encouraged to develop solutions that are implementable, testable, and scalable. In doing so, youth innovation becomes an important force for advancing sustainable transformation across industries and society.
2026|Go Further, Go Global
Advancing International Industry–University Co-Creation
In 2026, the competition adopts “Go Further, Go Global” as its central goal, taking cross-university, interdisciplinary, and industry–university collaboration to the international level. The initiative brings together six universities from the Central Taiwan University System, five partner universities in Taiwan, and international partners including Shinshu University and Niigata University in Japan, as well as the University of Turin and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy. In total, 15 universities are connected through the initiative, bringing together diverse academic expertise and international innovation capabilities.
Through internationally oriented challenge topics, team collaboration, and exchange mechanisms, students are encouraged not only to address local industrial and social issues, but also to understand the common challenges facing sustainable development and industrial transformation from a global perspective. Through cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, students can broaden their innovative thinking and strengthen their capacity for practical problem-solving.
2020–2025|105 Industry Challenges and 1,700 Student Team Proposals
The Sustainability Hackathon was jointly launched in 2020 by Feng Chia University, China Medical University, and Asia University. As the partnership network and scale of participation have continued to expand, both the number of industry challenge topics and student participation have grown steadily. Over six editions from 2020 to 2025, the competition accumulated 105 industry challenge topics and 1,700 student team proposals. The scope of challenges has also expanded from early themes such as smart living and digital transformation to a diverse range of fields, including smart healthcare, hospitals of the future, rural and remote-area education, elderly care, net-zero transition, the circular economy, low-carbon transportation, smart recycling, green buildings, and cultural and creative industries.
The Hackathon continues to deepen a collaborative relationship among universities, businesses, and students based on “co-learning, co-creation, and co-growth.” It has gradually developed into an important platform connecting innovative teaching, sustainability education, talent development, and industry practice, while expanding its local and international impact.
For universities, real-world industry challenges can be transformed into practical contexts for innovative teaching and talent development. The competition promotes inter-university exchange and stronger industry connections, enabling education to align more closely with evolving industry needs.
For students, cross-university and cross-disciplinary teamwork, combined with real-world industry challenges, develops core competencies in problem definition, teamwork, creative thinking, solution validation, communication, and pitching. Through hands-on experience in addressing authentic challenges, students strengthen the innovation and employability skills required for the future workplace.
For businesses, the competition provides an innovative platform for connecting with young talent and interdisciplinary ideas. By bringing together creative perspectives from universities, external partners, and international collaborators, businesses can gain new insights into industry challenges and explore new possibilities for sustainable transformation and future development.
